Which breakfast is better?

Trying to win an argument with my friend about my breakfast choices:) Just want to get everyone's opinions on which breakfast they would think is better for you nutritionally (I realize they are both pretty healthy for you but I just want to know which would keep you fuller longest, and which is best for me nutrition wise:)
Breakfast 1
Whole wheat english muffin
1 tablespoon of organic peanut butter
banana
Breakfast 2
organic oatmeal with cinnamon, blueberries and flax
2.5 ounces of greek yogurt
apple
oh and coffee with soy milk with both:)
They both work out to around 250 calories, so they are pretty even that way. Thanks again for your opinions!

Prob say number 2, as oats are easier to digest than wheat.
Both great though x0 -
Go with #2 I think that will keep u fuller....Plus the fiber:)0

For me, breakfast 1 would fill me up longer. That said, I love steel cut oats and eat them often. PB and banana have more 'staying power' for me.0

I'd alternate both of them, so you won't get bored since they both have their benefits.0

Both are gread, but if I had to choose one, I would pick 2. More protein.0

both sound good!0

Both sound good...
#1 seems like it would last longer (stick to ya healthy ribs!?)0 -
My fitness trainer said that she knew someone who put peanut butter and banana in their oatmeal. I still have not tried it, but it sounds good.0

I think they are both winners - both have whole grains, fruit and protein....??0

I just ran them both through a nutrition calculator (http://caloriecount.about.com/cc/recipe_analysis.php) and they’re both great. The edge to me goes to the second breakfast because it is significantly lower in sodium (27 mg vs 300+) and lower in sugars (7 versus 21). The second breakfast also wins in the fiber category, with a small edge in protein. They are very close in Vitamin A, C, Calcium and Iron. But, the addition of flax and blueberries in breakfast 2, adds some incredible anti-imflammatory properties and that makes it, to me, a better choice for overall health. But for managing weight-loss, both meals are excellent choices.0

best breakfast is the one you will actually eat if you are not usually a breakfast eater *LOL*
i am a breakfast eater, always have been *L* and both of those sound good to me as both have protein + (and both sounds like excerpts from my food diary) *LOL*
that being said, i've found i stay full 'feeling' for longer when i have the oatmeal one0 -
Thanks everyone for your opinions! Her arguement was basically that peanut butter is to fattening....pshhh....lol....what does she know!! I just switched it up a little while ago because I was starting to get sick of oatmeal, so lately I've been eating the peanut butter breakfast and have found that they both keep me just as satisfied:) Im sure I will be switching them up again as soon as I start to crave oatmeal again!0

i have the oatmeal more often (basically cause i am not THAT much of a PB fan), but the two breakfasts really are the two i switch back and forth between myself *L*0
