    The last one is better.

If it weren't for the speed factor, it would be doable for me. I can't run that long at those speeds yet.

I love to hike up the inclines. It kills me but I get a GREAT workout and burn a ton of calories. I keep it at a 3.5mph speed.

Ah... got it now. That's an Interval Workout with regards to the Incline, and is very doable. As for the speed, I would instead bo by your Perceived Level Of Exertion. Your gym, or club, should have a chart handy to explain that. I do 2ea 35 minutes sets on the Elliptical, 4 times a week. And also throw in either rowing, or a lap around the Circuit. But I also built up to those numbers, over a couple of years! So DON'T try to be a hero, and burn yourself out on the first go! If you think it's too much.... bottom line is, that probably is too much! So back off for a bit, and let your body get caught up, then you can try to burn a bit more. It's just like everything else we do... one step at a time baby! Good luck and let us know how it goes! :flowerforyou:
  • the speed is definitely the issue for me, the incline is fine but maybe at a bit of a slower pace??? WOW, i hope i make it!

    thanks guys!!:flowerforyou:

I was thinking about this exercise chart while I was on the treadmill just a bit ago.

I think if you take it as stages you might be able to conquer it. This is, of course, assuming you can run for that long solid! I'm not there yet. I'm still on interval running/walking/wheezing.
