Best time of day to workout?

I'm planning on working out today but I'm not really sure when to do it. Right now (10 a.m., overslept so I've just gotten up, haven't eaten) or later in the day?
I feel like it's probably a mater of personal preference but is it going to make any difference to my body whether I eat first or not?

I think it doesn't matter when you work out, as long as you do some kind of exercise at least 30 minutes a day!! sometimes I work out around 4 am and sometimes I work out in the evening. it always depends on my kids schedules!!0

it makes a really big difference on my body if I don't eat before working out. I get drained quickly and don't have nearly as much endurance.0

I prefer to exercise on an empty stomach- either after first getting up and maybe having a banana and some water or right before lunch or right before dinner.0

I always work out first thing in the morning, no food. It makes me sick if I eat before or right after, so because I run outside close to house, this is what I do:
- wake up +/- 5.30am
-15 mn in the house, moving a bit, preparing breakfast things for later, or clothes to wear
- 30/40mn run followed by 30mn Shred
- shower/get ready
- protein shake with flaxseed, fruit and 2tbs soya yogurt +/-8am
I'm never hungry before 12pm!
When I try to exercise later in the day I feel tired and I know I run slower and don't work out as hard. Besides, working out in the morning gives your metabolism a massive kick and you're energized for the whole day!
And as someone said above, 30mn of it daily is the minimum you should do. When your body gets used to it, it doesn't hurt anymore0
