Please be careful when eating out. I chose healthy options but they were still loaded with calories. Oatmeal is good for you and I got the fruit and maple oatmeal = about 300 calories. I would have never guessed. It was still a better choice then some other options but calories do matter. Also, had soup, salad with low calorie dressing and 1 breadstick at a well known restraunt only to log it on this sight and find that it was almost a 1000 calories I consumed in one meal. Pretty much had water the rest of the day. What an eye opener this sight is for me. I am very thankful it is here for us to use. Best of luck to all of you as we all endeaver to make our bodies better.

If we have plans to eat out I always check the menu on line for the lower calorie meals. This way I am prepared. Makes dining out less of a hassle.0

I assume you are referring to McDonald's oatmeal?
& I totally agree- restaurant food is loaded with hidden calories! That is why I try to avoid them...although I do not usually have great luck at that. :laugh:0 -
Gotta be Olive Garden. Those breadsticks are deadly.0

I always check calories for restaurant foods before I eat them. You can find low cal options but it's definitely difficult.0

The McDonald's fruit and "maple" (there is no real maple in it) oatmeal, although only 300 calories, it AWFUL for you otherwise. There's like 50 ingredients in it (mostly unpronouncable) -- why??? You'd truly be better off getting an Egg McMuffin. At least there's a good amount of protein in that.0

I am SOO glad to see someone else that wasn't fooled by the marketing of this "healthy" oatmeal from McDonalds! And you are 110% correct, an Egg McMuffin is a better choice!0
