Max & Min Heart Rate

How do you find out what your max and min heart rates are... I find I can work out for an hour and only 7 minutes of that might be fat burning as I still need to lose weight I'd like to stay in the fat burning zone longer and less in the fitness zone until I@ve lost all my weight then I'll happily stay in the fitness zone longer.
Can anyone help, so that I can programme my HRM
Thank you ..

This is what my trainer told me.... Subtract your age from 220. That's your max. Then for best fat burning, she suggested to aim for 60-80% of that number. It's like hitting your "groove"0
