Salmon doesn't take long to cook...I say, forget the microwave and bake it. 375 degrees for about 15 - 20 minutes depending on the thickness.

I have never had any luck preparing fish in the microwave. I use my conventional oven or my toaster oven which is equipped with a convection oven. When I have tried to prepare it in the microwave it always comes out chewy and rubbery.

My mom has a china quiche dish that we use. We put the pieces in there and just cover it with wax paper and they are done in 2-3 mins. I love it.

I have a Pampered Chef steamer that I use to cook veggies in the microwave. I usually throw my fillets in there with a little bit of lemon juice and it takes less than two minutes for a 4 oz fillet. So good and fast!
