First..Is my diary public?

Second, I worked out for a half hour running/fast walking at the speed of 3.5 - 4.0. My treadmill is in the basement and it is hard for me to breath while I work out especially in a basement setting so I can't run as fast or for very long. My question is it said i only burned 200 calories .. I feel as if I have burned 500 calories doing the same thing on a different treadmill? What are your thoughts on this ? ? ?

You should use an HRM for a more accurate reading. Sportline makes them for a pretty reasonable $50-$60.

As far as diary, go to settings to change your privacy setting for your diary.

Actually, 200 calories sounds more accurate than 500. Without knowing your exact weight, (but assuming you're not extremely overweight), you should probably burn 400-500 calories an hour walking at 3.5 mph. I'm a 220 pound male, and I burn about 550 calories walking that speed for an hour, so you would likely be closer to 400 calories burned for an hour's walk, or around 200 for a half hour walk. If your treadmill has an incline setting, that could increase the calories burned. A heart rate monitor would be your best bet if you don't trust the machine.
