After an arm workout, when i sleep my arms to my shoulders lose circulation and fall asleep. I do sleep on my front. This only happens after a strenous arm and shoulder work out. Anyone else experience this?...any ideas what to do...other then sleep on my back?

Maybe try doing some really good stretching before and after the arm workouts? I'm not sure but my arms go numb a lot when I'm sleeping too- sometimes at my elbow where if i try to bend it it hurts really bad. I'm bad about putting my pillow b/w my bicep and my head and having my arm straight out above my head that's usually when the elbow thing happens. I would just stretch really good and try not to sleep on your shoulder where it would cut off circulation? Sorry if this wasn't much help lol0

mine doesnt really have anything to do with a workout. for some reason my hands fall asleep at night and it takes 10-15 minutes to wake up. sometimes I cant even turn my alarm clock off because I cant feel my fingers.0

Tsosbe...the same thing happens to my mum...but hers is due to an underactive thyroid......maybe get that checked just to be sure

When limbs "fall asleep" it has nothing to do w/ cut off circulation. If you had actually cut the circulation off you would have a good chance of loosing it after such a long time.
The reason limbs "fall asleep" is actually because of pinched nerves. The body believes some sort of trauma has happened to that area like its been amputated or something, and stops sending/recieving signals from the area, The tingling has something to do w/ the body all of a sudden realizeing that infact you still have a nervous system down there.
Try Ginkyo tablets - think its about 600mg a day, after about 2-3 weeks its gone - but you have to keep taking it every day.
Some facts about this suppliment:
Scientific research documents the ability of Ginkgo to maintain peripheral circulation to the arms, legs and brain.** In addition, Ginkgo helps improve memory, especially occasional mild memory problems associated with aging.** Our Ginkgo Biloba consists of high-quality herbs standardized to contain 24% Ginkgo Flavone Glycosides.0 -

Ola'
When you get these cramps in your legs it is also telling you that you are dehydrated I have this same issue along with restless leg syndrome from running so much, make sure you are stretching and getting the adequate dosage of potassium and water or this syndrome will only worsen to sometimes a point of no sleep and ongoing muscle spasms.0 -
Mostly My Right Arm, But After Working My Arms Hard For A Couple Days, My Right Arm Goes Numb If I Sleep On My Right Shoulder Pretty Much At All. It Is Really Annoying, And Takes Most Of The Day For My Arm To Go Back To Normal, Oh And It Gets A Little Bit Of Swelling.
Any Advice Would Be Greatly Appreciated.0
