Suffering from chronic candida - plan to do a cleanse

Options
Ordered some stuff to start myself on a Candida Cleanse before starting on my new diet.

Candida Diet: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php

After doing the candida diet for 6 months or so, I will probably ease up into an alkaline diet for the longterm.

My nephew is 8. He carries candida and it manifests itself in various ways...thrush, itchy bottom, etc. He also can't have gluten or dairy. My sister attempted the gluten free, dairy free and the candida diet at the same time and the poor little fellow just couldn't do it. He is autistic, so it is difficult to communicate with him as to why he can no longer eat certain foods. I commend you for attempting this. It is much harder than people think it is.

Yes, I expect it to be hard. But after 2 years of this, and the meds the doctors giving me only temporarily easing symptoms, i am willing to try just about anything.

Well, I didn't eat anything yesterday. Drank vegetable broth and that was ok. Drank the husk/clay tonics and those were ok. Drank a bunch of water, that was ok. I used WAY too much ginger and garlic in the liver flush tonic in the evening and I felt pretty ill. I went to bed and woke up feeling fine. So far today I'm doing good. Hungry, but not more than regular dieting hungry. Walked a quick mile yesterday, for my "light activity" that's recommended.

I wish I could have gum, but I don't know if that would be counterproductive or not. A friend told me the 2nd and 3rd days are the worst. So far I'm not feeling too bad today, a little weak, very slightly light headed. 3-4 days before your body changes over to Ketosis for energy. I am wondering if I'll notice when that happens.
