Two weeks down

Today is the end of my second week on my new lifestyle. Yes I am avoiding the "D" word like crazy. I decided to look up what I needed to eat to maintain my ideal BMI and it is actually more calories then I am currently allowed so I know I can do this.
I have lost 8.5 lbs in the two weeks I have been on here, but that is because I am over 100 lbs overweight and have gone from a sedentary lifestyle to one that gets me moving at least 5 times a week although I am trying to do something everyday. I have support from my fabulous sisterfriend and that is huge. But I am confident that this is the way to go. Not trying to do it all in one day, not trying to change everything all at once. Just slow steady THOUGHTFUL actions. Planning is everything! I plan to walk, exercise, what my day is like so I am not overwhelmed. I am a spontaneous person so I like to not plan all the meals, but I do make sure I have lots of healthy choices and a few of my life savers... like Dove Promise dark chocolate squares. I little taste of chocolate and an uplifting message (my version of fortune cookies). V8 juice low sodium is another saving grace. It gives me a veggie serving, is filling and It takes me awhile to sip it.
I guess what I wanted to say is thank you to all of you who have friended me and who just inspire me with your daily postings and honest exchanges. This is a great sight to do what we do. So here is to th e next 8.5, and the one after that and so on and so on...
