Hi I seem to be struggling with my water intake, i am good in the mornings but somehow fizzle out as the day progresses. am making it to 4 glasses a day, and drinking plenty of earl grey with no milk or sugar. so am taking in fluid on a regular basis.
Does anyone have any idea's on how i can remember to up my water intake???
Thank you as always your advice will be greatly appreciated x

I'm struggling myself.
What I'm starting to do is keep 500ml (2 cup) bottles of water and have a time limit for me to drink them. So 500ml before 10am, 500ml by 2pm, another 500ml by 6pm and squeeze in another 500ml before bed at 10pm at night.
I'm hoping it won't keep me up at night!0 -
now that sounds like a good idea i shall pop some bottles in my fridge and then i can take them out with me :-)
Goodluck x0 -
Hi, Ways to help you remember...no. I think 1 large glass when before you leave for work on a morning is a good kick start knocking 1 or 2 glasses off your daily water target. The only way I can suggest is, when you are cooking your lunch or dinner, make yourself drink one glass of water before you eat. That way you will also feel fuller when you eat your meal and you've ticked another glass of water off your target. rather than the 8 glasses of water a day I drink 4 glasses of water from a large (almost pint glass) that way I con myself into thinking i'm not having to have 8 drinks its only a measly 4 drinks. lol daft i kjnow but seems to work for me as i get very bored of water. I also try to drink the water mixed with no added sugar orange juice to make it go down easier. I asked my doctor once if this was still ok or was it cheating, she said no it was a good way to get the liquid in, aslong as you weren't using toomuch of the juice, i.e. don't fill it a third of the way with juice and just top it up with water. lol.
Alternatively, I have a friend who fills a large water bottle at the beginning of the day to the amount she wats to drink and just keeps it with her throughout the day, this way she knows she just has to reach the end of the bottle by the end of the day. It wonldn't work for me but everyone has a different method. Good luck. Sorry i rambled.0 -
thank you, drinking from a larger glass maybe the way to go :-)0

I had a hard time getting in water but I started keeping bottled water around. (I reuse the bottles.) Since the bottles are 16 oz. i drink at least 4 a day and Ii know that I have gotten my intake in 4 the day. It has become a lot easier for me since i have done it that way.0
