hey there.

Does anyone have this book? I know he never has nutritional values written in his books, but has anyone worked any of them out?

Is it worth getting?

Can you tell that I'm sat here watching the tv show ever so slightly hungry? Lol

Was just watching it myself. Don't have any of the books but one thing I can tell you is that the things he cooks most definitely do NOT take 30 mins!!!!! LOL

    Absolutely! Lol

Think hubby would have a heart attack if he came home every night to a three course meal! Lol. 'oh that's ok darling, it only took 30 mins'...not. More like an image of me with an empty bottle of wine, hair sticking up, every pot and pan spread around the kitchen, spaghetti hanging off cupboard doors and I've forgotten to collect the kids from school! Lol lol

According to someone where I work, you can do the main meal in about 30 minutes but all three is nearly impossible.
Also, I've seen a couple of his other recipes worked out and some were sky high in calories!!

I think the current celebrity chef leading the way with low cal options is Curtis Stone.

I've got the book and I've done probably 4 or 5 of the recipes - mostly they're doable in about 45-50 mins.

However he is a BIG fan of oil and butter and if you've seen the programme you'll know that when he says a 'drizzle' he means more of a waterfall of oil!! Not the most healthy chef in the world, but oh my so so tasty! His measurements are far from exact though, so it would actually be quite easy to cut down on some of the less healthy ingredients
