I'm sitting here in my duct taped lawn chair and noticed Mirach was so bright it was out shining Rigel. After a few seconds it dimmed back to its usual magnitude. That was weird.

    I loooove the night sky. But I live in the Houston suburbs..I can't see very much out here. I have to drive out a bit..so I don't get to see what I love often. I do enjoy seeing Orion every night though! My star app on my phone is my favorite app, period..

    i do a lot of night time photography and one involves just watching the stars all night long :)

    Yea I do some stuff over here............. not good "dark Sky" with in an hour so it can make for hard gazing.... only just started

    I took a planetarium course in high school and fell madly in love with the night sky! I used to know all of the visible ones around here, but I've forgotten quite a few. They're on my list of things to re-learn. :)

    Absolutely love the night sky!! I don't think I have ever seen something as beautiful! I go to the Oregon Star Party almost every year.
