Right now my 1 mile averages to around 16-17 minutes I am signing up for a 2 mile walk/run on April 9th I'm nervous 1 mile is hard enough for me and I gotta do TWO?! I am excited though! I hope to also be in the 160's by then but I doubt that happening It's 3 weeks and 6 days away... do you think that's possible? I haven't weighed lately but last time I weighed I was at 176

I strongly doubt that you will be in the 160's but it doesnt really matter. You can run and walk at any weight... just make sure to pace yourself and you will find out that its enjoyable and hopefully the "race" atmosphere will be addicting to you.
I started running at 275 pounds... at 250 pounds I did my first half marathon! It is possible... it all starts with a single step and a small distance... have fun!0 -
You could get into the 160's just all depends, sounds like you are dedicated so that is great. Do not let anyone burst your bubble, you are doing great and anything is possible:)0
