I have one of the biggest loser taylor scales (There are apparently a few), and I love it. What did you dislike about it?0

I also have the biggest loser Taylor scale and I like it a lot. It gets the job done for me.0

I have a Chefmate. I don't remember where I got it, probably Walmart and probably didn't pay much for it. It weighs down to .2oz. I love it. Definitely keeps the portions in check..0

I have a Electronic Kitchen scale - sounds expensive but not to bad, from what I remember
I did notice they have it at Walmart now - it has a large - about 5X5 inch - clear top and weighs in
kg -g - oz and lbs. It also has a tare function which is nice - if you put a plate on it and press the
button it will reset the scale to 0. Really helpful.0 -
Mine is a digital salter from amazon.com. LOVE it! It doesn't look like they make my mold anymore, or I'd provide a link...0

Worked great for first two days...then it started weighing irratically...and not precise at all. i know this, becuase i have a smaller scale i was using to compare...and the smaller one i could calibrate, so i know it was correct. But the numbers would just jump all around....and keep going up, then go down...then just all over the place, then negative....soo....i dug the box out of the garbage can...outside....hahha..and put that in a sep bag and even took that back to her. I told her I know i am supposed to return in box..and here it is..but i dont think you really wanna open that bag...hahahah..it was all flat and smelly,0 -
I like that one..wish they had at Bed Bath & Beyond....and by the way....love ur pix..is that your puppy?0 -

At least Amazon has free shipping on anything $25 and over. That helps.
And no, not my puppy. Mine isn't nearly that cute!0 -
Forgot to mention that the EatSmart kitchen scale came with a really helpful booklet that lists the USDA calorie count per gram for nearly every imaginable food.
Great when you're in a hurry and can't spend a lot of time hunting for something on MFP database!0 -
I have a Salter - non-digital, weighs in both ounces and grams. Big cup on top, I generally put a paper towel or paper plate on it, adjust to zero, then put my food on the plate/towel. Love it!0
-
it sounds like I have the same on that Stormieweather has. A basic Salter- not to expensive but reliable as all get out. I think I got it at Bed Bath and Beyond too.0

I have this OXO scale. It's a little pricey but I got fed up with the cheaper versions.

OK, so maybe third time will be a charm..and I will like this scale. I got the perfect portions scale that was on Dr. Oz. Pricey, but if it works, I am all for it. This is the sc ale taht gives me all the information according to my portion of food that I put on it..cant get any more precise than THAT!!
Haha..I went from buying a 10 dollar p.o.c. to a 20 p.o.c. to a 30 p.o.c. ...and dang...this one is 50..lets hope it works!!0 -
i have a cheapy one i bought a couple years ago at walmart for like 10 bucks...measures in grams and in ounces...it does the job!0

I use the Fit board thing with my Wii. It's the most accurate scale I've got in the house.0
-
I use one i got free from doing a washing powder survey. It really doesn't matter. A scale is a scale. A gram on an expensive scale isn't going to weigh less or more on any other scale.0

I use a digital postal scale from Pelouze:
http://www.amazon.com/Pelouze-SP5-2200g-Capacity-All-Purpose-Straight/dp/B00006IACE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1300070728&sr=8-1
You can find them at Staples, Office Max, etc. as well.
It's very handy because it has the tare feature, allowing you to zero your weight after various measurements. For example, for breakfast I'll put a bowl on it and hit the tare button. That zeroes the scale. Then I add about 40g of Wheaties (1.5 servings), zero it again. Add 40g of raisins (1/4 cup). Zero it again. Add 240g of skim milk (1 cup).
Using the scale allows me to measure what I'm eating without having to get all my measuring cups dirty all the time. It's a great feature for me, and most foods list not only a volume per serving (such as 1/2 cup) but a weight as well. It's much easier to weigh the serving on the plate/bowl/whatever than to measure it out using cups or spoons. This is particularly true for things like peanut butter on bread, which I find hard to get out of the measuring spoon.0 -
I have this one and I am very happy with it. I have weighed everything I have eaten for the past 80 days on it and the batteries are still going strong. It is a bit small, so large plates can cover the readout, but eating off of small plates is a good thing.0
