LUNCH- what do you eat?

I am trying to steer away from lunch meat and frozen diet dinners. I am looking for some healthy, filling lunch ideas.

Grilled Chicken breast
A lot of Veggie burgers on 100 cal bagels
Salad
Left over Dinner....(i make exttra on purpose to bring for lunch next day)
I eat A lot of home made Soups0 -
I either have a BLT with extra T and healthy life low cal bread or a tuna sandwhich with the same bread and pickle slices instead of potato chips. MMM.0

Mostly it's left overs from the night before when I have to go to work. I find it easier to just pack my lunch when I am putting up food for the night. When I am at home (like on weekends), I may have a turkey burger (no bun) with a salad or soup and a sandwich.0

Hummous and veggies, julienned salad with tuna or chicken, stir fry, leftovers
Today is salad with homemade chilli.0 -
Today I had salad sandwich with LF Mayo (basically just mixed lettuce and cherry Toms, with a packet of walkers crisps.x0

leftovers.... roasted chicken veggies, or my fav... tomato, cucumber, lettuce, home made hummus and cheddar sandwich... yummm0

Home made soup, which is really filling and satisying but low cal. In the summer I have salad, with either tuna, chicken or goats cheese in it. To go with this I always take 3 pieces of fruit and some carrot sticks to keep me going through the day. I find that if I eat bread at lunch (even if it's within my calorie limit) I end up feeling sleepy in the afternoon, so I'm trying to avoid this!0

I have black bean quesadillas most days. Makes 2
4 corn tortialla shells
1/2 black beans
1/4 cup shredded cheese
1/4 cup salsa
I mash 1/4 cup beans and spread on corn shell and top with salsa and cheese. Put in skillet and crisp it up on both sides very very good and all for under 400 cals! I do use sodium reduced black beans. If you do not like beans, replace with 4oz of chicken0 -
One of my favorites is a can of tuna (only partially drained to keep some moisture instead of adding mayo) mustard and relish and I eat it with a serving of Wheat Thins my favorite is the tomato and basil. It is yummy and filling and I don't get hungry again very quickly. Only about 255 calories, a little high in the sodium but I LOVE those wheat thins.0

My favorite is pork tenderloin ( I sear, then cook in the crock pot and always have on hand), over Great Northern beans, with hot sauce, and a steamed veggie ( I just buy the frozen steamable bags). Super easy to toss in my lunch bag, and just a few minutes of microwave prep at work.0

low carb (cedars 80cal) wheat wrap, 80cal can-o-tuna, crasens, and low fat mayo.
2 cups bag-o-salad, 1/4 cup mex mix reduced fat shredded cheese, tomatoes low fat dressing.
cottage cheese 1/2 cup side to either of the above.
left overs:
chicken breast
turkey breast
90% 3oz hamburger pattie with cheese (no bun)
usualy a variation of the above or a chobani0 -
I do alot of prep work ahead of time - Sundays I make my steel cut oats, brown rice, cook my chicken breast, and prep my lettuce, & veggies, spinach for the week. Then it makes for easier breakfast & lunch time meals, chicken wraps with lots of veggies, 1/2 c brown rice with 4 oz chicken breast and 2 cups of tossed greens. ww pita veggie pitas there are so many great quick lunch items.0

Soup with ryvita or cracker bread, pitta breads with tuna or chicken and salad. Brown rice mixed with onion, peppers and some chicken or tuna. Left overs from dinner the night before, which could be perhaps a chicken stirfry.
I always add fruit or some sort to lunches as well and maybe a yoghurt to fill me up.0 -
Salads
Sandwhiches on my Sarah Lee 45cal bread (usually oven roasted turkey with a bunch of different veggies)
Chicken Tuna or Egg salad, as a sandwhich or in a salad (depends on how I'm feeling)
I will eat any of those ^ in a Sarah Lee Pita also.
Sometimes when I have turkey burgers the nite before I'll grill up an extra on the foreman and eat that for lunc the next day (also on the Sarah Lee bread)
Occasionally Ill have a PB&J, usually if it's a hungry day.
I always have a side of a fruit or vegetable, too, carrot's and ranch, fresh green beans, yogart, fruit cocktail (no sugar added) ect.

mmmm that wrap with rice and chicken sounds great! Thanks for sharing and great idea of prepping ahead of time. I try to most of times but I do not always make it

I always do Boars Head Blazing Buffalo Chicken lunch meat... try switching up some of the flavors!0

Tuna mixed with onions, celery, miracle whip(not the healthiest, but I bought it and want to use it up), lettuce, on Ezekiel bread.
2 tablespoons hummus, any raw veggies I have (spinach, onions, celery, tomatoes, carrots, peppers, whatever!) with a little bit of fat free feta on a tortilla.
Left overs from the night before - chicken and veggies.
I'm at home all day, so I have access to a kitchen, but I like to eat cold things for lunch most days.0
