I love to coupon and save money. Most times I only save like maybe $20-40.00 a week through sales and coupons on a $150.00 weekly budget. There was one time I got around $205.00 worth of food for $90.00 though. LOL
I used this response to another thread on here then realized I should repost it for other people too.
I buy my meat at Sam's club, separate it into portion size then freeze it. During the off season, I buy my fruit and veggies as Sams too. It is better quality at cheaper prices.
This week at Sams club I got a 2-2.5 quart of strawberries for $5.00 on sale, 3lb container of good looking big grapes for $6.00, 3lbs dole bananas for $1.89 and a fresh pineapple for $2.00 on sale. The boneless chicken breast was $1.99 lb. (6lbs of chicken)
When I buy veg and fruit at regular grocery store, they must be "in season" or on sale or it is not worth my money. For instance, sweet potatoes have been under $1.00 a lb for months now. This week I got it on sale for 79 cents a lb. But your certainly not going to get a great price on zuchinni right now because they have it shipped half way a crossed the world. hehe

All You
http://www.allyou.com/coupons-deals/
If you have certain product brands you use, sign up on their websites because many of them will send samples and coupons via email or post mail.
Shaws doubles coupons up to .99 cents. Use coupons that are over $1.00 at other stores such as Wal-Mart and Target. Look at the grocery flyers to pair sales/coupons.
They key is to pair coupons with amazing sales. Between the buy one get one deals, free items and “save money on 2 items” you will develop a stock of food and eventually you will only have to buy only sale items each week and spend a lot less.
For instance, I had a coupon for .75 off granola Bars. I also had a coupon .75 cents off GM cereal. Shaws had a deal buy 4 cereal or granola for 7.00 plus doubled coupons. I only paid 4.00 for 2 boxes of granola bars and 2 boxes of general mills cereal. (3.00 savings in doubled coupons, 5.00-6.00 savings from the sale)

I am a couponer as well and have stared again about 2 months ago after a hiatus. My husband and I have never had a set budget for groceries but now with times getting even tougher for us (I'm a teacher in Texas who might not have a job next year), I am setting a $50/wk budget. I sit down on Sunday's and peruse Grocery Game (www.grocerygame.com - if you join I would love your referral credit- just ask me for my email) and collect my coupons to make the weeks trip.
We shop at Kroger that will double/triple coupons and there is a CVS near there as well that we use. I rarely purchase much at CVS but I always purchase things that are a good deal or free. If I don't use it, I immediately find someone who will use it and it gives that great feeling of helping someone else out as well.0 -
My problem with coupon is we have a small kitchen and I don't have room to buy what's on sale and store intill we need it. And also we buy a lot of organic food and it is very hard to find coupon for that.0

I am crazy for coupons as well!! I download a ton of them on my HTC Evo! One of the apps I have is called Coupons, and I even found an app for my local grocery store that I can download coupons directly into my store card from my phone! Definitely a great way to save money these days!0

I also LOVE to coupon!!! I am a Hip2Save.com follower as well as the coupon printing site (red plum, coupons.com etc.)...but want to check out these other sites now. Can never have too many money saving tips/leads!0

A few additional sites I like are dealseekingmom.com, totallytarget.com, southernsavers.com. They all do weekly sales ad matchups with current coupons and include deal ideas, etc.
I love getting cheap stuff from a sale. I will be getting grapes for 99 cents/lb this week, 99 cent/jar peanut butter, and cheap TP. I just stocked up on chicken breasts for $1.59/lb too.
The websites I listed, like I said, do pair up the sales with coupons, but honestly I actually like doing it myself. I just make a list of what I am getting from the sales ads, and then peruse my coupons to find matches. And I don't run around to a billion stores, I just price match everything at Walmart. MUCH easier that way!0 -
love coupons! thanks0
