Like Peurto Vallarta.

I'll be eating at one this weekend, what should I get that is somewhat healthy. I like Camarones Jalisco but that is probably a no-no.

This is my favorite ethnic food by far, and I miss some of it as I will no longer eat some, or cannot because of dairy allergies that I now have.
I typically go for a taco salad with LOTS of pico de gallo and some grilled chicken. There can be a ton of cheese on many dishes so I usually stay away now.

It depends on what you call healthy. For me healthy would be fajitas, eat everything except the tortilla, rice, and beans. Yum, I love Primal diet.

If you're one of those low fat people, get fajitas, and eat everything I didn’t,,,, hey we could go out to dinner together.

fajitas are your best bet. just stay away from sour cream, rice, and cheese. just do chicken/steak, beans, vegis, hot sauce. also, don't eat alot of chips.

We do the chicken fajitas without the sides and I eat about 10 chips with some salsa. Good meal and not too many calories!

fajitas arent bad...usually a skillet is around 400 calories. Add tortillas, cheese, sour cream and thats how it adds up quick

I'm doing Mexican on Thursday. I was going to get the fajitas. Unless they offer some sort of fish.
    Good luck with the chips!
    I know I'll need it!

At Mexican restaurants I try to stick to ceviche or shrimp cocktail. Neither has any added fat. Both might be found on the appetizer menu. Seafood is usually not breaded, fried or loaded with cheese and should also be a good choice there, as well. I'm not familiar with Camarones Jaliscos but if you can afford the cholesterol it could be a great choice. Tortillas are 50 calories each - not too bad if you don't get carried away. Easy on the tortilla chips and it should be a fun night out!

I like chicken chile colorado and chicken chile verde--basically chicken with either red or green enchilada sauce. I order it with no rice and beans, and a side of lettuce (for bulk!), and corn rather than wheat tortillas.
