Was looking for a recipe with ground turkey or chicken that wasn't meatballs, spaghetti, or tacos. Very easy to make.
12 oz. ground turkey/chicken
4 cups canned tomatoes, finely chopped and low sodium
1/2 cup green pepper
1 tablespoon minced onion
4 oz. mushrooms
2 cup of chicken broth reduced sodium
3 oz. elbow macaroni (I used leftover small bow ties)

Place turkey/chicken in nonstick pan with cooking spray and seasoning. I used Season All, I don't care for salt and pepper. Cook until pink is gone. Add tomatoes, pepper, onion, mushrooms, and chicken broth. Boil. Add macaroni ( DO NOT STIR) continue to boil until liquid is absorbed uncovered. It works!

1 1/2 cup a serving and it serves 4

It is posted on the data base as Hommade Ground Turkey Goulash sorry about the misspellingflowerforyou:

My goulosh has always had cream of mushroom in it! It gives it the creamyness I love. And we don't use peppers. It is interesting how different recipes can be sometimes!
    But it does sound yummy.

Are you using canned mushrooms or fresh? I suspected canned since you wrote it in oz but wasn’t sure. I figured canned had too much sodium and I fear the taste but now someone just posted she uses cream of mushroom soup soo…. not sure if the liquid of a canned product is required. Thanks

We tried this this past weekend and I just wanted to say how very good it was. We may trade out the green peppers for some green beans, but other then that - this was EXCELLENT - I had the leftovers for lunch yesterday.

    Thanks for posting :)

I have this posted on the food database as hommade ground chicken goulash. Poor spelling and I used chicken instead of turkey. Husband used the turkey. I used fresh mushrooms also. Always fresh unless I can't find it. Like the tomatoes needed to be canned.:flowerforyou:
