Ok I pulled a big muscle in my tush and inner thigh during my workout today, I really felt it go too!
It was crazy trying to continue to work out now it hurts worse. What do you all do to help a muscle heal?

Ooh.. I know you have to rest it, elevate it, and ice it... here, I just found an article:

Cold, 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off, for the first 24 hours, along with anti-inflammatories (motrin). Then start applying heat intermittently, along with very gentle stretching for a day or two. If it feels strong enough, you can begin to work it gently after 3 days, and be back up to speed in about a week to 10 days. (ER nurse. I've memorized most of the instructions we give.)

First of all, STOP WORKING OUT IMMEDIATELY! Why did you continue to work out?

Anyway, without knowing what you were thinking, I'll move on.

It's called R.I.C.E. To help the muscle heal sooner, you must apply the following to the muscle:

    Rest
    Ice
    Compression
    Elevation

Now, you can't quite elevate your butt and thigh, but definitely do the rest.

I recommend that you do NOT try to get back to exercising them after 3 days. Two big muscles like that will not heal in just two or three days, and they'll get plenty of light exercise just from walking, although you want to minimize that for the first day or two.

I did the same thing I think. Immediately RICE, rest, ice, compress and elevate. Try not to use it strenuously over the next few days (tough I know :)) I did some light stretching.

That is what the theory says you SHOULD do and I wish I did as mine was still affecting me 3 weeks later :(
