  • The Soy Zone has some good recipes, with a healthy portion of protein in each one. It's all party of Barry Sears Zone diet,

If you want to run the gamut of healthy/indulgent recipes, I recommend www.vegweb.com. They have all kinds of recipes to choose from. Most of them are vegan but they can be modified to suit your needs. They have it broken down by category so it's pretty easy to find something that you're in the mood for. Good luck on the vegetarian transition! Feel free to friend me if you'd like some support. :)

I'm new to MFP and just getting started, but I've been a vegetarian for about 20 yrs. My favorite thing is to cook beans in the croc pot. Black beans, black-eyed peas, great northern, whatever. Just put 2 cups of water for 1 cup of beans and leave it on for a few hours, then add veggies - I especially like to put in onions and some kind of greens, like kale or collards, and sometimes carrots or sweet potatoes. I do a lot of different kinds of spices, so it's different every time I make it, but Patak's curry paste is always yummy. I don't know about the calories; haven't done the math yet, but its got lots of fiber and protein and vitamins, and is very filling and satisfying.
