I need some advice. I have got into the habbit of saving atleast 1000 cals a day. For the last 2 weeks I have lost 3lbs and 2.5lbs instead of the usualy 4/5 lbs a week.Should I start using all my calories and settle for the 2lbs a week loss I have in my settings or just carry on as normal.

Cheers

I tend to use all my daily calories, but not the ones burnt through exercise.
  • Your body may be going into starvation mode.
When you eat too few calories, your metabolism slows down. So the food that you do eat is being metabolised alot slower, resulting in less weight loss. You may be better trying to meet your reccommended calorie intake for weight loss.
Good luck, I hope this helps!

Apparently you have to make sure your net cals is 1200 per day. I had 1000 left every day last week an lost nothin this week but that might have been the curry i had haha

Have ur full daily cals that your allowed but dont eat any that u burn off an see how u go for a week you will still have some left coz you walk every day but it just prob wont be as many as 1000 left at end of each day x.

Cheers for the advice. Not sure about starvation mode as never been hungry. Will try eating all me cals and saving exercise cals for a week and see if that changes. :-)

Starvation mode isn't about feeling hungry, it means your body starts hoarding calories because it isn't getting the fuel it needs. It can really screw up your metabolism causing you to lose zero pounds even though you have a reduced calorie intake. There is a lot of information on these boards about it if you type "starvation mode" in the search box.
