New user needs inspiration!

Hi all- My name is Grace I am trying to lose 17-20 lbs. I quit smoking a couple of years ago and gained weight. My husband and kids pretty much eat anything they want whenever they want. It's a nightmare for me, so I ask for inspiration not only to diet, but to exercise. I'm trying to do the P90X and it's extremely hard.

    Hey,

    If you arent used to exercise then simply walking will give you everything that you require,plus you can include your children and husband if they are able to support you.The fresh air is terrific both for your wellbeing and morale.It will also build your social life,you will be amazed at the number of people you meet at the same time each day etc.

  • Thanks so much, and that's a great idea. When the weather breaks I'm going to play outside with my little one and go for walks in the park, etc. I'm just a bit self-conscious of my body changing as I'm getting older and the whole weight gain, not being able to fit into the clothes I used to fit into. Plus I wish these magazines would stop printing skinny girls everywhere. It's a shame I don't feel like I can read a beauty magazine because the women in them are almost anorexic looking yet are considered beautiful. Ok, that's my rant for the day. Thanks for your input :)
