I'm a teacher- changed my fitness level from light to active

Does this sound right? I'm on my feet most of the day walking around. I am constantly walking. Changing the setting upped my calorie goal to 1270 from 1200. I always feel hungry eating just 1200.

It's all about the weight loss. If you are losing at a pace faster than your goal than yes you need to adjust it. If it's just cause you feel hungry than there are other things you could do.
1. Eat your exercise calories. I tend to eat atleast half.
2. Eat foods full of fiber or protien. They take longer to digest so you feel full longer. Make sure your not wasting calories on calories dense food. You can eat tons of low calorie dense high nutrional foods like vegetables.
3. Eat more smaller meals/snacks. I try to eat every 3 hrs. I eat 5 meals a day. I try to not go to long between meals. That way by time I am hungry again it's time to eat.0 -

Killingaurora - I'm going to switch mine back to light and just add walking slow pace 2.0mph. How many hours do you log for that?0

I am also a teacher, and i have got mine on light, but I feel fine on 1200. I don't bother logging the walking that I do in school as i see that as just ben part of my daily activity.0

This eating healthy is so hard! I always want to snack on bad foods! I wish the cravings for chocolate would cease!0

I realize that I am coming to this thread a little late but oh well. I teach at a JR/SR high and when I wear my pedometer to work I log between 2 and 3 miles a day on a normal day, some days its way more. I guess it really depends on how active you are as a teacher. I rarely sit at my desk except at lunch and planing and most of that I am up moving because I do lunch and learn during my lunch for struggling students.0
