:drinker: Happy St. Patrick's day everyone! So going out is going to be inevitable.....I want to have a good time and enjoy a few drinks, but I'm afraid its going to set me back...what do you all recommend for drinks?? Light beers, mixed drinks, 2 - 3 shots? I don't want to be a Debbie Downer when I'm out...Help!!

    As a previous bartender I would recommend...

    1.) Captain and DIET with a lime
    2.) Gin/Vodka and Soda Water with a lemon

    Bring food color for festivities :laugh:

    I also already entered Corn Beef and Cabbage and my estimate of drinks tonight into my food diary so I could scale back my snacks and lunch today so I wont go over my goals. Happy St. Patricks Day!!!

    i remember reading that clear is best- so stick with the clear alcohols- vodka, gin.

    Beer is my sweet tooth! I don't mind passing on the cake, cookies, sweets, but i LIKE my beer! I need to learn how to SIP on the hard stuff if i'm going to listen to my own advice of drinking the clear alcohols...yikes~!!

    Happy Pat's day to you as well!!! Be Safe

    my choice is always vodka soda with lime.
    Single=76 cals
    Double=131

    Just think you can have almost 2.75 drinks for every one Guinness others are having :)
