today i had my first weigh in and my weight has not changed. I do not go over the calories and carbs and i always have way more than enough fiber, and i am definitely eating better than i used to but i do not count the fruits and vegetables that i eat because i hear on weight watchers those don't count so i haven't been counting them. also i have been to the gym 5 times this week doing about 80 minutes of cardio each day. i started my period yesterday, so could the reason to why i haven't noticed i lost be because i gained back those pounds from water weight?

thank you!

Its hard to give you any advice without seeing your dairy! try opening it up, then people will be able to help you.
and you should count EVERYTHING you put in your mouth.

It could be the water weight. I noticed that I stay the the same weight the week before and of my period, and then when it's over 3-4 pounds just fall off. I hope this helps.

It is possible that some of it is water weight. I make it a point to NOT weigh or measure when I am on my period because it can be discouraging. Also, I agree that fruit and veggie calories should not count, but I would still log them because they do still have calories. Best of luck!

It isn't good to take your weight when you have your period. I always am up a few pounds during that time.

You should log every single thing you put in your mouth. You would be amazed at the carb count of fruits and calories are calories they all add up. Try adding those and seeing. It could also be that you are not eating enough. What is your protein count daily, your carb and fat count? I do better with higher protein count and less carbs.

Fruit and veggs don't count on ww, but they do if you are counting cals. You have to do either or,bc an apple can be 70 cals, two a day 140. So if you are eating lots of fruit and vegs, you are probably over your cals and not realizing it.

I would definitely count fruits and veggies.... let's say you have a banana, apple, some carrots and raw veggies. That might be worth 300 calories that aren't getting counted.

Our bodys are complex and sometimes they take a bit to clue into what you are doing. Even though you are eating healthy and keeping track it can take about 2 weeks before you notice a change. Also, we can cgain anywhere from 1-8lbs from water weight when on TOM so you may have lost but are now retaining water:) Don't stress about it you are doing great!
  • I know when I hit my TOM my weight goes up. Don't let it discourage you! I would give it another week and check again. :]

I takes...oh, about 10 days or so before my body starts to reflect my diet. If you look at the graph I have of my weight since Jan 4th (when I went back on a deficit), the was no change for 11 days and when I finally did lose anything, it was a measly .6 pounds. But if you look at the average of all the weeks going back to Jan, I am losing just about 1 pound a week.

Be patient and be accurate. Measure, weigh, log everything and don't cheat yourself. The loss will come!

I agree with the others. Definately log ALL fruit and veg. Some fruit are surprisingly high in calories (bananas, plums and blueberries I've found), good to eat them of course, but you need to know exactly how many calories you are consuming!

First off the question should be how long have you been at this??? you cant expect to see instant results......and even though weight watchers doesnt count veggies and fruit, they DO have calories which I basically part of the point on here to stay under, so you SHOULD be counting them on your daily intake.....plus they have sugars. Maybe you're supplementing so much fruit and veggies to fill you that its taking you over too much on your calories a day, which could be why you're not seeing a decrease in the scale too. So i'd suggest logging EVERYTHING you take in, so you're more aware of your calorie intake, and then see how your weight loss goes. GOOD LUCK, this is a process so just dont give up
  • It is hard to tell what's going on without seeing your diary. There could be a number of things, like sodium, fat and sugar.

Although WW doesn't count fruit and veggies, in my personal experience it is necessary to count starchy and fatty vegetables (like avocado), as well as fruits due to the high amount of calories these may have. Think bananas, pineapples, potatoes, peas, corn etc, all of which are starchy and high in calories. Remember, that healthy foods can make you gain weight, bc all foods contain calories, therefore, if you don't have a calorie deficit, you won't lose weight. My nutritionist allowed us to have as many *green* vegetables as we wanted. And only green ones, like kale, spinach, romaine, green bell peppers, cucumbers.

WW doesn't count fruits and veggies, but I believe they upped the points values of OTHER foods, so it kinda cancels it out. If you're calorie counting, you can't not count them. My apple today, even after I cut it up, was 240 grams, which was something like 120 calories. Two of those a day is 240.
