Hi,

I started with Mt Fitness Pal 6 weeks ago on my IPhone, but I haven't been on the website until today. I started with the goal of losing a lb/week. Well as of this morning I have lost 6 lbs in 6 weeks. I guess it is working.

I will be 60 in June and my goal for my birthday is to run a 5K. (Maybe Power walk/Run) I need motivation to do that.

Thanks in advance everyone.

Have you started a running program of any kind? If not, I highly recommend the "Couch to 5k" Program. I am 31 years old and never a runner before last summer. After doing the 9-week version of this running program, I successfully ran in 3 different 5k races last year. This year, I plan to at least double that. Good luck to you!

As a Teen I used to run Track and Cross Country. I am currently using the Couch to 10 K program, it really helps. If only my knees and the weather would cooperate !!!! I have already Walk/Ran a 5K twice in my workouts around the neighborhood. I am hoping to do an organized one in June or July.
Since I will be 60 soon, it has never been so apparent that I need to lose weight and exercise. I am self emplyed, work-at-home and spend a lot of time working at the computer. Since I work about 12-14 hours/day fitting in time to Walk/Run is not easy. I thought I would post so that people here would help keep me accountable.
