Hi All, I am new to this site. I am trying to lose a lot of weight and can use a lot of tips. My will power when it comes to sweets (chocolate) is nil. I have a hard time saying no to the bad food that tastes so good. Started feeling tired more and don't like what I see in the mirror. I used to play sports like soccer and softball and volleyball. Would like to start playing them again. I sit at a desk eight hours a day and need to start exercising again. If anyone has any tips to starting a workout that doesn't require a gym please let me know. I do have the Wii fit and plan on using it again.

Thanks for reading and looking forward to losing some weight by summer.

I completely understand how you feel. I am new to this site as well (just joined today). If you don't like the gym, I highly recommend the interval running program called "Couch to 5k". I was never a runner before and this program really helped me. Its even better if you can start it with a friend. There's nothing like the buddy system to keep you honest, motivated and dedicated to the work-out. I never enjoyed the gym either, but now I go to one nearby my house and love it. Maybe it just this particular gym, or maybe it was the running program that made me want to do more. Either way, its nice to have options. But it doesn't make it any easier to turn down the tasty foods that ruin any diet. Going out to eat has always been a something I enjoyed and that is now a challenge. I'm hoping this website will help me choose better foods to eat. Good luck to you!

Thank you for the advice and support. I did some yard work today and I am feeling good and sore. I hope to start walking my dogs as the weather gets nicer and as my schedule freels up. And my whole family is going to start using this program and maybe we will be able to help each other eat better. Any time you need a boost let me know, I will be happy to add my support. By the way I like your dog. Dalmations are adorable. I have two dogs, one is a 4 year old German Shorthair pointer named DOG (AKA Pilgrim) and a 9 month old German Wire-Haired Pointer puppy named Apple.
