Has anyone tried this workout? From what I've read, it's pretty tough. I'm looking to do it M,W,F in the morning to get my day started. Maybe up to every day with lighter weights or adjusted for just bodyweight exercises, possible.

Anyway, I'm going to start with the regular version 1.0. If you have done it before, how much weight did you use? Did you use different weights for the squats, rows, lunges with rotation, etc.? I'm thinking of using 20 lbs. on all to start and see how it goes.

Finally got around to it. Used 20 lb dumbbells for exercises that use 2 dumbbells and a 30 lb dumbbell for exercises that use 1. 2nd round I went down to 12 and 25 (little gym in my building doesn't have 15 lbs). Couldn't do the 3rd circuit.

Hardest part for me and probably for most is the squats, lunges, jumps, etc. I don't really work out my legs, so they were absolutely dead. Was sweating a ton. It's quick and an effective full body workout. Good way to get your day started.

This is by far my most recommended exercise routine as its compact and required little equipment. Targets all body parts, forces you into oxygen debt and gets everything flowing & most definately gets you lean.
Living in NZ where its filmed I've met and spoken to several people from the set who trained for the film and said they lost quite a bit of mussle mass during the training but got mean n lean.

The First round : I push hard and just focus on finding a rhythm
Second Round : I just aim to match or better the first as this is the round that you hit the barrier
Final Round : maintain efforts as prior and keep mind focussed, "this is the last round!!! Dig Deep and Rock On"

Regardless of your fitness level you only get out what you put in.
I've been doing this for 5 months now and I find that when I can go longer, that's when I increase the intensity and get as much out of the 41 min program and feel that if I don't collapse with complete exhaustion at the end, then I haven't pushed hard enough.

Tip1: to help you through, downloan Spartacus Workout from Workout Muse!!! it helps you manage the time and just concerntrate on the workout.
Tip2: Find someone to train with as you mentally find yourself pushing harder naturally when your competitive spirit turns on
Tip3 : if you have no one to train with, video your workout and analyse your positions/alignments also, but can count and record your reps. Without a tracker you can't see your progress.

Mind over matter, so when I train, I think of it as Life or Death. Be better than you are, push past and through the barriers.
but in the end.... FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT

Good post. Thanks for the advice. I'm gonna really try to start doing it in the mornings before work starting tomorrow. Hopefully I can do it Monday-Wednesday-Friday. We will see.
