Ugh! Now my thyroid?! Newbie, but I need help!

I have been on the rollercoaster for years - since I was a teen. Even as a young child in ballet class, I remember my teacher telling me I looked like I had eaten too many cookies.
I was successfully using Weight Watchers and lost 50 lbs before I got pregnent, but had stalled and stayed about the same weight for 6 months! I was treated for very slight hypothyroidism while pregnant, but was told that it had resolved itself since.
I recently accepted a new job where a physical was required, and the doctor who saw me told me that he thinks that the thyroid problem has not resolved itself, and he thinks that might be why I'm having such a hard time losing this weight. Goodness knows I'm trying.
I'm feeling VERY discouraged today. Is there anyone on here that is dealing with thyroid issues that may have some insight for me?

My doctors are trying to figure out my thyroid problem. So, I'm sorry to say I can't be any help as far as advice at the point. But, I can certainly understand your frustration and be willing to be supportive. Just aim at eating healthy and exercising and pray the doctors can figure out how to fix the thyroid issue.0

After pregnancy number 3, my thyroid went crazy which lead to me having to get it radioactively removed. For awhile, I was REALLY HYPOTHYROID because I was taking no medication and had no thyroid...weight gain. Now it is under control because of Synthroid. With it controlled....I'm kind of normal I've lost 24 lbs. using WW.0

Well, treating someone for hypothyroidism is not an easy task. I had a total thyroidectomy because of cancer and we've been tweaking my meds for over a year now. I feel your pain on how frustrating it all is. Feel free to add me and message me and I'll help you out anyway I can. I definitely don't have all the answers but might be able to point you in the right direction to find what you seek.0

Try not to focus too much on the scale right now. Just keep eating and living a healthy life style and between your doctor and your healthy eating you'll get back on track.0
