I change my ratio: Carb 50%, Fat & Protein 25% each.

I changed mine as well, I think they allow for too many carbs(for me), & not enough protein.

It depends on your goals, and activity. I am following Bill Phillips recommendation of 40/40/20 protein/carb/fat, but I'm doing a more weight lifting oriented plan than some.

I would try to get a lot more protein than what MFP suggests. The default settings are really low. I would suggest changing your settings to at least 25-30% of your calories. Mine are set to 40%.

The average person needs about .36grams of protein per pound of bodyweight per day. This is assuming their physical activity is low to average. If you body build or strength train, you should eat more. You almost certainly do not need more than 1g of protein per pound of bodyweight per day.

Also, keep in mind that almost all of your energy should come from carbohydrates. You don't want to force your body to metabolize protein for energy. This process is slower and less efficient than metabolizing carbohydrates for energy.
