What is the best on tap water filter?

Now that both my wife and I are drinking a good amount of water each day we are deciding it would be a good idea to invest in a water filter. Which filter do you recommend for an on tap water filter?

    We use Nikken water filters. They aren't inexpensive, but they are REALLY good! Go to: http://www.nikken.com - then to the tab Product Technologies, then PiMag Water Technology (on the right hand side of the page). You can take a look at all of the different types they have. We use the PiMag Deluxe countertop water system. You only have to change the filter once a year and this water is SOOOOOOOO good for you. I'm not a distributer - just a customer who has used Nikken products for several years and loves them!
