It was hard but I got through it. My "girl parts" hate me but I did it!
I also lost 2 lbs this week. My first MFP week. Thanks for letting me
share this journey.

Don't let that stop you from spinning!!! LOL! My girl parts hurt when I first started too, but you soon get totally used to the bike! It is a great workout! Great job on the weight loss! Keep it up!

Great job for going! Stick with it, and you'll be amazed at how much you improve at spin! I would recommend investing in a pair of bike shorts or capris. Your lady parts will thank you! :)

I teach two spin classes and "girl parts" hurting is not something I've heard complaints about before "laugh"

For all of those out there dreading the spin class, don't! The first class is almost always the hardest, but remember even though it is a group environment, it is your own workout. The other people don't know how hard your resistance is. You are not expected to go all out the first time. I tell my newbies that I care more about them making it through the class than trying to keep up with the vets and burning out half way though.

Go and have fun, I think you'll like it!
  • Congrats on haveing the courage for that first class! I started spinning in February and my lady parts were sore for at least a week but I pushed myself to return even while sore. It gets better! It's def a rewarding class in the calorie burn dept. There are bike shorts with cushion in the crotch (one instructor wears them) and also bike seat cushions. Good luck on your journey!
