Any suggestions about gas caused by fruit?

So I have recently realized that fruit makes me really gassy and bloated. I don't like the feeling at all because I feel so heavy, but when I don't eat fruit for a few days the bloating goes away and the scale goes down...i drink a lot of water so I think it's primarily just the fruit.

So what can I do about it? Does anyone else have this problem with fruit? I know I need to eat it, but I'm tempted to just avoid it since I eat lots of vegetables.

Need advice?

Honestly, if you're fine with eating your veggies then go for it.

You can try using Beano (natural and it really does work.) Or maybe try different fruits and try to figure out which one(s) cause you issues and limit those ones. But keep an eye on your fiber and make sure you're getting enough.

It really depends on the type of fruit you eat. The more fiber the fruit has, the more likely you will develop gas. If it becomes bothersome, like when I know I have to go to a meeting, I will take a GasX but otherwise, just take the minor side effect.

Could you be fructose-intolerant? I Googled it and found some things saying that If think you are, maybe try and eat them little bits at a time (not very much at once) and eat things that are lower in fructose like nectarine, plum, peach, strawberry, blackberry, raspberry and apparently you want to avoid foods like apples, pears, watermelon, cantaloupe, guava, quince and star fruit.

Otherwise, maybe it's an acid issue? I don't even know how that all works...I'm just throwing that out there.

so it's not really a minor side effect....the bloating is pretty intense and leads to cramping. It may be an allergy since I've noticed it with lots of different fruits, but yes more often and more intense with apples and pears.

I've recently become acquainted with Beano, and I swear it's my new best friend! Have you checked out their website? They have a bunch of University of Gas video "tootorials" that are downright hilarious. Or maybe I'm just easily amused, which is entirely possible.

I eat all my fruit with some almonds or peanut butter. I get the same way. Esp. if i eat it in the aft. My naturopath gave me the tip and it works for me!
