  • I am looking for someone with a smart phone like an EVO, so we can have a video conference using the free app, "FRING" to conference about our food and this great program. If you have a smart phone and would like to video conference, please let me know. Thanks.

Oh my goodness, there have been TONS of success stories because of this site! But it's not the site alone, it's the effort you put into it! It's an amazing tool and looking at the success stories on here every night keeps me going. You can do anything you put your heart into!

    Hi Lilduckie,
I track my food and exercise on MFP and one of the ways it really helps me is that when I feel like eating something I know I shouldn't, I make myself go on here and read a few blog entries, check my food totals for the day, etc. Then its usually easier to resist.
I also really like tracking my exercise on MFP because it gives me an extra boost of feeling it was worth the time I spent.
Having to see everything I eat and its calories written down has been a real eye opener. I eat less and I'm making better choices that don't punch so many calories.

    Good luck!

I started using MyFitnessPal about 4 months ago. I've lost about 27 lbs since. I had already lost 33 lbs before I started using this site. It really does help once you get into the habit of logging everything you eat. It helps you keep track of calories, but more importantly, the more you see the nutritional info for foods, you more you can make good decisions when you go out to eat. Like, for instance, I now know that 2 large eggs are 140 calories, and toast is approx. 160 for 2 slices. I know that a cup of grits is about 200. I can look at a breakfast menu and instantly have an accurate idea of what I can and cannot order. I have logged my favorite foods so many times, that I can tally in my head what I'm eating and make other meal decisions with more confidence. I don't stress about whether or not I'm going to lose this week. If I do the work and stay under my goal, then I know that I will lose. And that gives me peace of mind and it makes this so much easier.

Hi unsure :) I love this site. In two weeks i have lost 5 lbs. It really helps to use the food tracker, for me. I can see in the evening when i get home from work how many calories have left for supper and a snack. :) It does depend on each person to make it happen, depends on how bad u want to lose weight. If u really want to then this site will help you. I also exercise almost everyday. I got the jillian michales dvd, 6 week abs and i love it. I alse have a treadmill that i have the ifit so i have jillian's workout on that as well. Most everyday i do both. I never do any exercises on thurs., that't my grocery day and by the time i get home and get groceries in and put away, i don't wanna exercise. Some days i will only do the abs exercise and not treadmill. I have for the past 2 weeks exercised every day but thurs. :) I hear a lot of people say they don't like to track their food or exercise. I like doing that, it helps me with my weight loss. Good luck to you. I hope u find that u like this site and it will help u with your weight loss goal.
