My One-NSV-a-Day Challenge!

I think this would be really neat to try!

Someway, somehow, I'm going to try and give myself one NSV each day for 30 days. Today I realized I drank 8 glasses of water without even trying! The cool thing about this challenge is that I'm not going to plan what my NSV will be. I just think if we really reflect on our day, there's always something there we did that was so positive, and we don't even know it!

Give it a try if you like :)

That sounds like an awesome idea! Not only will it help keep up your motivation but it will also give you a great sense of how strong and awesome you and your body truly are. I wanna try it too!
  • Got it!! Thanks :)

Mine today would be that after a week of no calorie counting and no gym exercising (spring break!), I went back to the gym and was able to do my normal workout... I was worried it would be much harder.

OK, my NSV for today is that I walked after having a week of no workout! And boy am I sore!
  • Great job! I know I'll be sore tomorrow after my week off of working out! It felt so good though to get back in the gym! (I think I've missed it!!)

I think this is a great idea!

My NSV for today: (actually two things):

    1) I walked 5 miles at the park today with my friend Laura. We had a GREAT time even though we are both very sore!

    2) I have been eating really "clean" for only about a week...after our big walk at the park, I felt like Chipotles, which I haven't eaten in several weeks...I got a couple chicken tacos and a small root beer...and ate about half my meal and stopped....WAY too much sodium and sugar (in the soda). Looking forward to going back to my better eating habits tomorrow...Had no idea how much I was enjoying the taste of healthier foods until today :)

Good idea! My NSV for today - A friend invited me to lunch at a pizza place in Old Town. They had pizza and all kinds of yummy sounding pasta dishes. I stuck to a turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mustard and unsweetened iced tea.

Mine would be that I learned a lot of good info from new people that will help me out towards my next goal

So my NSV for today really doesn't have much to do with healthy eating or exercising...because I didn't do much of either of the two.

HOWEVER....I kicked my job hunt into high gear, and actually walked into a place to hand off my resume. Didn't go so well, but I have another idea for another place tomorrow, and I'm going to do the same thing!
  • Today would be that I was able to eat REALLY well today, lots of fruit and veggies and even my husband LOVED the black bean burgers I made! Super delicious!

My NSV for the day is that I've lost 1/2 inch off my waist and 1/2 inch off my hips in a week. It doesn't sound like much but if I can keep it up at that rate, it'll add up quite nicely. :)

    Yeah way to go everyone!

Today I went for my first run in a very long time. I did 3 - 1/4 mile runs with walks in between. I'm proud that I picked a physical benchmark and said to myself - run to that point and don't stop (a total of a 1/4 mile each time)

I'm now off to clean out my overly messy car, something I've put off now for a good 4 months.

Today is a good day, I think there will be more NSV's to report later tonight!

I forgot to post one for yesterday. It was starting on the 100 push-ups program.

Today it's that even though I had movie nachos last night and went over my cals for the first time in a couple weeks, I don't feel like a failure and am not beating myself up over it. This morning I had scrambled eggs (1 whole, 1/2 c. whites) with spinach, mushrooms and 1/2 an ounce of cheese. I've already done day 2, week 3 of c25k and had 5 cups of water and it's not even noon yet. :)

Wow great job on the water!

My NSV for today is the fact something clicked with me. I don't know what it is, but something just gave me motivation to get my butt moving!

NSV for today: I was able to do 9 consecutive push-ups (regular ones). I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but at the beginning of Feb, I could barely do 15 knee push-ups.

Today, NSV, I have already had my daily water amount...which means anything else is extra.
