Raw Diet

I want to eat a raw diet sooooo bad. Recently I've added more "raw" veggies and fruits less meat to my diet, as well as raw nuts and I feel so much better!

I know that there of tons of folks on here that only eat Raw foods. Any good websites with recipes and meal ideas out there?

    Try goneraw.com. I did a 100% raw food diet a few years back and absolutely loved it! I would like to go back to doing raw foods, but I'd probably do like 75 or 80%. I think raw foods are the best thing you can do for your body and mind. :)

    No. Of course some people will post and say their are 2 kinds of raw diets, vegan raw, which the abovce would not be considered in, and raw foods, eating meats raw. Yogurt either way is not raw, or any dairy as its pasteurized. If you are into eating raw meat then tuna bought raw (not out of a can) would be raw, but not counted on the raw vegan diet.

    I ate a raw diet for a while and honestly, I hope you don't work for a living because it is like a full time job. It was neat but very very difficult to keep up with. you really have to plan ahead because honestly it can sometime take days to make things. Like I made my own chili (kinda) out of lentils but you had to spout them first which took a few days. While it was good it tasted nothing near chili. The name of the recipe doesn't mean thats what it will taste like, You will definitely need a dehydrator for foods, since you can't cook anything above i think 114 degrees because they believe it will kill the good enzymes in the food. Be prepared to never eat out unless you want a salad with no dressing, and no there is no meat in a raw diet, no dairy, nothing but non processed not cooked over a certain temperature foods. Try it for a while.......I don't think it is something that you can easily stick with especially if your someone who already has an over eating problem. But hey with enough determination you can do anything right.......at least for a while, I lasted a couple months.

    I've done 100% raw and 75% raw and they're both quite an adjustment but I reccommend trying it because it may suit you. After the withdrawal period, I felt great but I just couldn't keep it up so now I just try 50% and have good days and bad days. Good luck!
  • I started to drink raw carrot juice which seems to help with some energy because I am able to absorb the vitamins better, but definitely would not be able to do raw all the time but it is healthier.

    thanks pals! Yeah if i had to give myself a percentage, i think i do it 50% of the time now... Just thinking about stepping it up a tad. We'll see...
