I am not trying to do a 10 day fad diet or anything I just want to know what i should do and what I should avoid to lose some weight and have a flatter belly by April 1st when I go to hawaii. I would love to feel leaner and weight less for this trip. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

Following a better diet, refer to my blog for tips on that, and ab workouts to firm and tone the belly. My number one recommendation is a big breakfast with 30% protein in it. That one change alone gets the metabolic rate fired and going good for the rest of the day. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/Newfiedan

Maybe on top of the higher protein, also do less/no carbs?

Cutting out wheat completely works for me. Not that I am ever very flat since having children!

There are some other things you can do to flatten your belly a little - even without losing a substantial amount of weight. Two biggies are:

    1) Don't chew gum. It actually causes you to swallow more air, which makes you bloated.
    2) Eat alot of fiber. Broccoli (especially raw) is a good veggie for this.
