PB2 question

I have never tried this before (never heard of it even until browsing some of these forums), but am curious to try it. Unfortunately, it is not available anywhere near where I live. I am contemplating ordering it online, but hate to order 4 jars of it in case I don't like it and am too cheap (LOL) to pay a ridiculous amount of shipping charges for the sampler packets. I think it would be ideal to add to my protein shake...
Yays, Nays from those of you who have tried it? Worth ordering? Thanks for your feedback!

i absolutely LOVE pb2! The chocolate one is delicious as well0

I ordered 2 jars of the plain and 2 jars of the chocolate because I wasn't sure if I would like it. I love it!! The plain does take a little to get used to, but if you are putting it in shakes it should be good. I liked it so much I went back to order 4 jars of the plain and 8 of the chocolate. I get it from netrition.com and they have flat $4.95 S&H.0

I haven't used the PB2. But, I do use peanut flour (which is basically the same thing)... if you love PB flavor, order it! I use the flour in shakes, yogurt, make a paste and use it like PB, made a stir fry with a peanut sauce, all kinds of yummy desserts..I love it! And everyone who talks about PB2 seems to love it also!0

Here is the store locator... http://www.bellplantation.com/products/locator
I am going to have to try that!0 -
I found it in a carb-free store in Toronto, it was $6.99 a jar which I thought was crazy since Kraft Light PB goes on sale for $1.99-$2.99 all the time but $17 shipping to Canada (or $10 to the US) from Bell Plantation makes it just as bad.
I've been nursing that jar for about a year as a result. PB is fun but I'm not an addict like others and in smoothies I find the taste isn't very strong (although I only use 1 tbsp).
The store I bought mine has the individual packets for .89 but + $8 shipping.
I think I should start a business then! I'll buy a whole bunch then charge $2.50 for shipping and everyone wins, lol! I made $70 selling original Turbo Fire not burned so I could do this0 -
I order mine through Netrition and love it. I put it in my shakes, I mix a little with water and dip my apples and celery and it is only 45 calories per 2 tbsp. The chocolate is also delicious

I think it's great in shakes but really not that great for anything else. I know people mix it with water and use the paste as peanut butter - I thought that wasn't very pleasant.
Do you have any medical weight loss centers close by? I know mine sells PB2.
Oh, and a big fat warning - I bought those a couple of years ago and I noticed a HUGE discrepancy between serving size volume and weight. The glass says serving size is 2 tablespoons (12 grams). When I measured out 2 tablespoons and weighed them, it turned out to be TWICE the weight, ie. 24 grams, so basically whenever I served myself 2 tablespoons, I was actually taking 2 servings -- and since I added 2 servings to my protein shake I basically had an extra 90 calories in my shake.
Can anyone measure a current glass?0 -
I get it from netrition.com and they have flat $4.95 S&H.
Thanks for the tip, they are also only $3.59 a jar right now BUT, they expire in June AND $15 shipping to Canada.
I'll bookmark for later and order to my hotel in Chicago when I go on vaca in July.0 -

Any particular weight loss centre? I.e. Herbal Magic, Dr. Bernstein, Jenny Craig (not really medical but you know....)0 -

Ok sorry to quote everyone but If there is a possibility of getting it at a better price I get excited; I'm the queen of deals.
All I wanted to say was mix a tbsp w/ vanilla yogurt, then you get a ton of dip with all the same pb flavour of eating 2 prepared tbsps of pb2 for ½ of the 45 calories of course…0 -
I love it! I found a hiking/camping store that carries it. I only bought one jar but I'll be going back when I run out. It is a great substitute for me because I love peanut butter. I love PB2 in oatmeal0

I personally do NOT like PB2....
IMO, if you are a BIG fan of Peanut Butter - you are gonna be pretty disappointed in PB2...However, if you are just an occasional PB eater and you just want some every now and then...if may suit your taste just fine. Me personally, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Peanut Butter, so I just allow the full fat version on days when I have a low calorie intake day.
That's just my 2 Cents.0 -
Thanks everyone for your responses! I will look at Netrition.com0

I'm a peanut butter fan but it's way too many calories (I know it's good calories though)
I dont think I could live without PB2 now.... I love it I ordered the sampler pack with a friend and we shared the cost...you should do that...0 -
I JUST tried it maybe five minutes ago. It's frickin' AMAZING. Taste just like peanut butter! I'm sooooo in love right now. I had two servings instead of just one, and just ate it with a spoon. Lol. Made about 3 tablespoons for 90 calories, whereas my old reduced fat peanut butter was 95 for one tablespoon.0

Let me know how it goes..0
