Is anyone doing P90X and tracking it on here? How are you doing that? I search for it in exercise and Cardio and nothing comes up

I just created my own exercises. You can create your own like you do with foods.
Do you use a HRM? After you complete a workout, just creat a new excersise:
"P90x Ab Ripper" and enter the time and calories burned per your HRM.0 -
If you have a HRM and know the amount of caloires you burned you can create the exercises in your own exercise database. It won't be available for others to use but you can use it each time you do the workout. You just need to know how many caloires you burned.0

I have entered it under my own excercise (individually put in each excercise and how long) and I have put in a default of 600 calories (I've estimated for each minute I workout I burn 10-12 calories). Hope this helps!0

How did you estimate this? I know P90X says average of 600 but I know people that use a HRM that burn as little as 350 or as much as 1000 depending on the workout.0 -
Estimating that you burn the standard "600" calories per workout can be dangerous to do if you are planning on eating your exercise calories. I have yet to burn 600 calories during one of the workouts. My hubby and I did Plyo & Ab Ripper on Saturday.. I burned just over 500 calories and my hubby burned over 1100! So, it really varies depending on each person!0

I just did my first workout in Phase 2: chest, shoulders & triceps.... granted I'm still in a learning curve, but I only burned 304 calories in 60 minutes.0

The burn rate of calories will definitly change depending on a person weight. Males normally burn more calories than females do.
I have a HRM but it is used while I cycle. Not sure if I can use it for this though.0 -
This is just a blog http://healthwellnesspost.com/how-many-calories-does-weight-lifting-burn.htm but I work in the medical field so my knowledge isn't novice by any means. I used to have a HRM and I found that I my calorie burn was right on the money with the 10-12 calories per minute when you are doing a moderate amount of excerise. Obviously this does vary from person to person based on intensity of the workout, age and weight. But this does give you a guideline if nothing else.0

"10-12 calories per minute while doing moderate excerise" is an estimate determined by experts- not by myself. I think this is where P90x gets their "average of 600 calories" since the workouts are nearly an hour. (10 calories a minute x 60 minutes= 600).0

I agree - 10 to 12 calories per minute is, well pie in the sky. I use a body bugg and boy was I disappointed when I discovered I was only burning between 200 (yoga) and 425 (plyo) per work out. Everything factors in - intensity of the workout, gender, and how much you weigh.
Good luck!0
