Why wouldn't it be? It is low in fat if you buy that type, high in protein (casein specifically, which is a slow-digesting type of protein), and any sugars in it are lactose and galactose, which don't cause a large spike in insulin.0

Yeah...I eat it just about every day! I always buy the fat free cottage cheese and sprinkle a little pepper on it. But I really like it with 2 sesame crackers on the side. With a stick of celery, it makes a perfect lunch.

I can not eat cottage cheese. It makes me want to erp, But for some reason I like plain yogurt. Nothing added, low in cals, I think it tastes GOOD!
The reason that they say this in the the cultures in Cottage cheese have active cultures that aid in digestion. It is also a food that is full of protien and calcium.

Not a cottage cheese fan! My mom used to eat it all the time when I was a kid and she never lost a pound. Just find a good for you alternative that you DO like. Fat free/sugar free yoghurt maybe? Forcing yourself to eat something you don't like is not going to work. :flowerforyou:0

I LOVE cottage cheese. I use it in lasagna in place of the ricotta cheese. It is great on top of a salad too.

Cottage cheese is very high in protein and if you buy the lite or fat free variety it's also low in fat.
I eat it almost every morning with some blueberries, splenda and flax seed. I love it!
My boyfriend likes to mix a serving of yogurt with cottage cheese at night. He's very into the whole body building thing and says something about that mixture creating some kind of slow burning protein/carb thingy (yeah, I know, I listen really well) :happy:0
