I've been going over in the carbs area the last few days..I usually eat the same things throughout the day sometimes i'll add something different, should this make a big difference or hinder my weight loss? my diary is open..so you can see.

not really as long as you stay under your calories
  • I find that I don't drop much weight at all if I am consuming more than say... 50-85 grams of carbs in a day. I keep well clear of bread, rice, potatoes. ETC ETC

I also go over on carbs just about every day -- AND I have mine set high to begin with. I'd probably be losing more if I could put down the fruit, bread, pasta and potatoes but I can't!!! I love them too much!

Well, I'm still losing - so thats what matters :)

Your body only uses carbs for energy (and brain function). If you eat more carbs at one time than your body needs for energy the excess will get stored as fat. The same is true for fat. Don't eat carbs at dinner and definitely don't eat dessert! Carbs cause your body to release insulin which prevents your body from burning fat.

I looked back at several days of your eating and didn't see anything "wrong". I would say to double check the bread is "whole" wheat and not just wheat, but other then that I wouldn't recommend changing anything. I also looked at your exercise and said I didn't see any strength training. Strength training helps with increasing calorie burn throughout the day because it raises the metabolism to repair and rebuild the muscles for about 24 hours. Also, when you are doing resistance training you are actually training the body to store more glycogen (carbs) to fuel the activity. It's only after that glycogen storage stage that you can build muscle, so it is a good thing. The added muscle will increase the metabolism and raise your overall calorie burn in the long run even when you aren't exercising..
