OT: Is Pinhead Evil, or is it just his job that defines him?

He only comes when you open the lament configuration box. Is this not a case of buyers beware. Do your research before purchasing? Opinions please.

    LOL Pinhead is my hero. If you don't want to meet him face to face, don't try and figure out the box ;).

    I dont think he is evil himself but if its his job description then he should of course oblige!

    Me personally however make sure everything i buy doesnt contain an evil entity.... and if it does (we all make mistakes you know!) then i dont open it. To be honest it is just common sense really!!!

    Oh, and no he isn't evil, he is just doing his job. I mean if you had nearly a hundred pins shoved into your head wouldn't you want to rip people apart who opened the box as well? Most know what the box is for, so they get what they deserve.:devil: :devil:

    I may just be seeing things I want to see, but he always seemed kinda sad to me. I don't think he -enjoys- his job. He just does it. Poor guy. Now some of his "friends"....they are evil freaks.

    Well, from what I can tell, the product discription is misleading. You are told you will experience pleasures. No mention of hooks etc....

    Well what some would see as pleasure others may see as pain. Who are we to judge lol. But yes, it is a bit misleading, maybe someone should file a lawsuit for false advertisement.

    Frankly, it's a mystical box that's going to "pleasure" you... What are you expecting?? A Thai massage with a happy ending? I don't think so. Rule of thumb, if it's glowing and the person who gives it to you/tells you about it is sketchtastic. JUST. SAY. NO.

    They seem pretty loose on the rules though. At one point they were going after kirsty who did not open the box in the second movie.

    ^This. There would be no movie if there were people like us getting a box like this LOL. If anyone told me that some random mystical object could give you "pleasure or pain" well the *realist* in me would assume that I cannot control it and therefore receive pain :laugh:

    I wonder if this concept was a parallel to drugs. Like Dawn of the dead was to commercialism. Just say no or pinhead will get you.

    She had opened it in the first movie though. Of course she didn't open it for the pleasure aspect, she opened it being a nosey teenager lol. And I think maybe it was about drugs as well, but who knows what some people create things for. It could have been someone with a fetish of somekind :tongue:

    But shouldn't closing it terminate the contract so to speak? But then again, she went into their dimension, maybe thats why they could get her. But the Dr seemed to be breaking rules.

    lol I think plenty of doc break rules. And you are correct, she did go into their dimension. I think maybe she was a closet pain lover. haha That or she just enjoyed watching people get ripped apart by hooks.
