Is this SERIOUSLY Possible???

I fell off the wagon awhile ago and gained about 50 lbs ( TERRIBLE, but hey I'm back. So I decided that I'd weigh on Tuesday mornings and after doing this for a week I GAIN 1.5 lbs! How or is this possible???

maybe water weight... are you eating pretty healthy and staying in your calorie range?0

Just keep going, I bet it settles and starts to go down after another couple of week.x0

Are you drinking enough water? Are you about to start your period? Did you just start working out again, or did you just start a new workout program that you are not used to? Are you not eating your exercise calories if you are working out?
Any of these things can make you gain weight.0 -
So many possible variables. Water retention? Diet? Training? Using same scales?
If you're eating correctly etc then I see no reason why you'd gain weight.0 -
Have you just started an exercise routine? If so, relax. Your muscles tend to retain extra water to help them recover when they're used in different or more strenuous ways, such as when you start a new workout routine. After a couple of weeks, your muscles will be used to the extra work and the water weight will vanish.0

I watched what I ate last week after deciding not to be logging everything, but after this last week I now have come to the fact that maybe I do need to log. All I drink is water. I will ride out this next week and let you know how it goes.0

It is possible that if youhave had a dramatic change in your eating habits our body has gone into panic mode and is holding on to the weight as it thinks it's not going to get enough nutrients. This is quite common when starting a weight loss programme.
Make sure you drink plenty of fluids, eat enough calories for your daily metabolic rate and give it another couple of weeks. I'm sure you'll see a positive change soon.0 -
Would Definitely check your water intake and out put. My Doctor put me on a water pill to help retention. It works really well.0

If you are not logging everything or measuring and weighing your portions you likely overdid it on the calories. Anytime you estimate it ALWAYS ends up being more. Make this switch and LOG every morsel, taste while cooking, everything . . . bet you see a different result next week!0 -
What are your current stats, your goals, and how many calories are you eating? Also what is your activity level set at and what are you doing for exercise?0

You need to be logging. I use to think I could just work out like crazy and see results. The only thing I saw was no change on the scale. I decided to log and realized I was consuming over 3000 cals!!!! Log and log it all-stay in your range. Trust me unless you do this you don't know.0
