You've come to the right place. I can't see self sabotage in you btw.
Best of luck!0 -
Welcome, Misty! I am also a master at self-sabotage. I eat emotionally, or because I'm bored, or because I just don't want to deal with what's in front of me. I have been a memeber of MFP only a few days. But the support system here is fantastic and people are very open and caring. So far using MFP has helped me stay focused on the goal of losing weight. Although it's awesome to see the number on the scale get lower, I just want to feel good in my own skin, and not run to food for any other reason than because I'm hungry. So that's what I'm working at right now. Again, welcome and happy transformation! :flowerforyou:0

Only recently found this site, and have just set up my profile today!
Can really relate to emotional eating, I find I use food as a 'reward' or a 'comfort'...hopefully with some support and motivation on this site, I'll be able to lose some more weight, as although I've lost over a stone, I've reached a plateau and need a kick start!
Would love to have some like-minded friends on here.
Good luck all, ready for my day 1 tomorrow x0 -
Is there any other type of eating than emotional? I love food but this site has helped me greatly to make better informed choices. Add up some friends along the way ...you'll find them very supportive in your 'weaker' times. I would be glad to lend a hand if you want to add me.0

Thank you so much guys! I went to change a diaper ( my baby's, not mine!!)...came back and saw all this lol!!! I am really going to love this site I already know it!!! I think my biggest problem if I stop and think about it is, I know how to hide both physically (I know ALL the tricks to keeping things zipped and tucked using layers and various forms of stretchy material lol) and emotionally, I think my husband loves me for me...so whats one cupcake ( that turns into three or four!)!!! I am done hiding (ok I might keep the stretchy material for a while) I am going to be honest with myself and anyone else that will listen!! I think honesty is going to be the biggest catalyst for my transformation! Thank you again for responding!!!0

Lord yes! Some eat out of boredom. Some because it's there. Some because they think if they eat everything they are showing respect to the cook. I think the list can be expanded.0
