anybody on here in the Navy or have a spouse in the Navy please send me a message... I have questions about PTS..The military is driving my familiy crazy right about now... Thanks

    In the Army, if I can help, ask your question and I'll try to answer. There are some slight differences between the services but plenty of similarities.

    My husband is basically being kicked out do to high year tenure this sept, and he has become unbearable to live with. He thought about doing the Blue to Green program but now they are saying that the Army doesn't have firefighting positions, so basically we are screwed..

    I'm guessing high year tenure is what the Army calls the Retention Control Point. Meaning if you don't make the next rank by a certain period of time, they force you out? Is that correct?

    Sometimes you've got to be mindful of who "they" are. Who specifically is saying there are no FF positions, is it really someone who is in the position to make the call. Maybe he should try contacting the Army recruiter directly if he hasn't already.
