Why is my PolarFT4 chirping during a workout?

Hi Everyone,

Some of you may have seen my post yesterday about cleaning and caring for a Polar FT4, which I just got yesterday. I noticed yesterday and today that during my workout, I keep hearing it chirp. I have no idea if it does this when my heart rate changes to a certain level or what. Do any of you know why it does this?

Thanks a bunch!

You can set an upper and lower HR to define a target HR zone. The watch will beep if you are above or below this zone as a cue for you to either increase or decrease your effort. If you aren't using this function I'd suggest turning off the sound.

Yeah its above or below target heart rate. Mine is 125-165, But my heart rate is 125 just standing up, so with exercise its always over, I just ignore it.

Thanks, everybody, for solving the mystery!!! I don't even know what my target heart range is, though I've flipped through it on the menu on the watch.

    I appreciate the help!
