Hi, I just started yesterday on this program and love it.

I was wondering if someone could please help me figure out how many calories I would be burning with the following info

I walk for one hour at 3.3mph BUT I walk with one 5pm weight which I do curls the whole time, totaling several hundred. The program has an exercise setting for brisk walking with a dog but not with a weight.

Two questions please. How many calories do you think are being burned and am I being counter productive by lifting weights the whole time as people say muscle weighs more than fat.

Also and lastly is there any difference between walking 2 hours at 2.3 or 45 mins ar 3.3. Thanks everyone

The only way I can think that you can figure out that burn is by wearing a heart rate monitor. I think it's a good idea...you are definitely burning more calories using the weights....just not sure how to estimate the burn.

Have you considered logging the two exercises seperately. Putting 2 hours for walking at your speed and 2 hours of strength training? It will incorrectly inflate the time you spend working out but should help a bit with the calorie estimate.
