I use the Mrs. Dash salt-free Southwest Seasoning mix whenever I make fajitas. It is really awesome.0

From SparkPeople:
LOW SODIUM HOMEMADE Taco/ Fajita seasoning blend
Chili powder, 1 tbsp
ground cumin, .33 tbsp
*Black Pepper (Ground), 1.0 tsp
*Dried Oregano, 0.5 tsp
Paprika, 0.5 tsp
Garlic powder, 0.5 tsp
*Onion powder, 1 tsp
Pepper, red or cayenne, 0.25 tsp
Mix all seasonings together.
For Fajita's... add to your own oil/vinegar blend to marinate before grilling.
For taco's ... and to meat along with either 1-4 oz can tomato paste or 1/4 cup chicken stock or water.
If it's too spicy... omitt cayenne pepper.
FOR PEOPLE WHO DO NOT HAVE TO WATCH THEIR SODIUM INTAKE. - ADD 1 TSP KOSHER SALT.
This will replace one whole taco or Fajita seasoning packet you would buy in the store.0 -
I use this one: http://busycooks.about.com/od/homemademixes/r/fajitaseasonmix.htm
I add less salt and I use low-sodium chicken stock cubes. It makes a lot, 1/3 of it is a serving, I think. Oh, and I add less sugar (half sugar, half cinnamon because the cinnamon really adds something.)0 -
