Does rice digest? I changed my 15 month olds diaper this morning and it looked like (heres the nasty part) it was full of maggots! It scared the sh!+ out of me until I realized it was rice from dinner last night

    Yes it does.

I had rice last night and there was nothing strange in my diaper today. :)

It does. Corn sure doesn't though! (I have a ONE and TWO year old!) LOL

LOL! Then what the heck happened to my sons?!
  • i think a lot of kids..... mine included.... don't really chew their food all that well. my 11 month old twins always ( well not always, but a lot) have basically the same thing that went in the night before in their diapers. but my boy has no teeth, and my girl only has 2 so i guess it can be a little hard to chew with little or no teeth.

I usually see rice, corn or other things like that in my 14 months old's poop. He just doesn't chew his food enough that's all. I really don't think it's a digestion issue.

My 14 month old son has a mouth full of teeth (about 14 or 16) and he doesn't chew everything properly. I think he's just lazy about it so when it's small enough to swallow, he stops chewing.
